The studies of the propagation of waves in acoustic metamaterials have grasped an increasing amount of attention due to their potential applications in many fields such as sound cloaking, super lens and acoustic devices. Acoustic metamaterials gain their exotic mechanical properties through periodically structured local resonators. In this talk, an efficient algorithm is developed to model the physical response of acoustic metamaterials with fluid structure interaction.

Eric L,英国Teesside University 副教授,博士毕业于新加坡国立大学。主要研究方向为:计算力学、材料的多尺度建模和设计、生物力学、拓扑优化和声学分析,发表70多篇。获得ICCM 2015 Auckland和ICCM 2014 Cambridge两个权威最佳论文奖,以及英国皇家学会颁发的International Exchanges Award。目前是两个SCI期刊的副主编(Journal of Medical Imaging and Health Informatics,International Journal of Computational Methods)。
